1.Emily had some friends over the other day. She was playing with a toy with one of them. They both decided they no longer wanted to share the toy and this is the Emily-ism that took place!!
Emily's Friend (as she is pulling the toy away from Emily): "Emily! You aren't my best friend anymore!!!!!"
Emily (In a very matter-of-fact voice): "So, I am still your good friend!!!!"
I was laughing so hard I couldn't even stop the fighting (really there wasn't much fighting and I think my laughing broke it up anyway).
2. We were on my way to my parents and Trent asked Emily if she wants to play sports when she gets older. Here is how the story went!!
Trent: "Emily do you want to play sports when you are older?"
Emily: "I don't know. What sports?"
Trent: "You could play soccer."
Emily: "What is soccer?"
Trent then gave a two sentence explanation about soccer and Emily decided soccer would be okay.
Melissa: "You could play basketball." (I am a WAY bigger fan of this than soccer, but I will let her choose what she wants to play)
Emily: "I can't play basketball!!"
Trent and Melissa: "Why not?!?!?!" (Totally confused)
Emily: "Cause I can't jump. Kaitlyn can jump, but I can't jump.!!"
We got a nice laugh out of this one too!! (Although she really can jump)!
3. On this same trip Emily had another Emily-ism....
Randomly Emily said "When I get older I get to be the boss!!" (We get annoyed when she starts bossing people around which she does ALL THE TIME and is pretty successful at which makes it hard to get her to stop)!! Anyway...
She continued "When I get to be a big big girl, you (pointing at Melissa) are gunna be a little girl and you (pointing at Trent) are gunna be a little girl and you, Ethan, are gunna be a little girl and I am going to boss all of you around all of the time!!"
I know we probably shouldn't be too proud of this, but it was pretty funny. (I think she takes after her mommy a little too much:) )!!
