Ethan had his 9 month check-up the other day. He is basically 21 lbs and 27 3/4" long. Here are a few fun shots of him...Emily took most of these and caught some pretty good moments into his life!! I am not sure what he was doing in the above picture!!

"Do I really have to smile....how many more?!?!?!"

"NO MORE KISSES MOMMY!!!!" (seriously though to my defense, he does love to snuggle me)

So we have been working on potty training lately. She is doing a great job, but is still having issues with getting dressed (front and back mean nothing to her!!)!! This is what I found yesterday after she had gone potty....see below for the back!!

What a silly girl!!! We did get it fixed though.

So our kids have been waking up WAY to early. It isn't really early in the day, just to early for them. You know it's going to be a long day when they wake up and two minutes later they are both crying and whinning (this has been the last two mornings)!! I know the holidays are here and so we have totally taken them off their schedules, but they are so tired. This morning I turned on Baby Einstein (I know, not my favorite show either, but we got the "Old McDonald" one and Ethan LOVES it and Emily will watch it) so I could eat some breakfast in peace (or at least it was quiet until Ethan found my hiding spot). When I walked into the front room this was Emily...half asleep on the floor.....sadly I couldn't convice her to go back to bed.

We have been having sleep issues with Emily. Basically the issue is this, SHE VERY STRONGLY DISLIKES SLEEP AND DOESN'T THINK SHE NEEDS ANYWAY!! Which is totally NOT TRUE!! She cries and asks you to hold her "one more minute, just one minute". Which turns into "just one more minute" which turns into...well you get the point. And then to make matters "better" she needs to go potty (again and again and again...but really never goes)!! Anway the past few nights have been much better and today she actually walked up to me and said, "mom, will you hold me just one minute?" and I was like "do you want to take a nap now?!?!? (thinking she would say no, later). And she said "yes, just hold me one minute!!" SWEET!!! Hopefully this lasts (and she fell asleep pretty quickly too!!

Yesterday she decided she can go potty all by herself (although today she seems to
need me in there with her). So I went to go make sure she was okay and discovered she locked the door so I couldn't even get in if I wanted or if she needed me (and then I thought of the lovely mess she might leave if she had to get off the toilet....) So thinking she hadn't made it to the toilet yet I asked if I could come in and much to my surprise this is the response I got. "NO MOM, Go play with toys"...Hmmmm....wonder where she has heard that before?!??!?!?!
