First for everything!!

I have always wondered how long it was going to be until one of my kids told me "they don't like me". Well, today was the day.



We were on our way to church and Emily was screaming in the car. I asked her to be quiter (yes, I actually controlled my urge to yell) and she then replied (well really it was a few seconds later)



"Mom, I don't like you".......(another moment of silence)....."I only like Jean (her nursery leader) and daddy".



One might think I was offended, but really I was laughing (trying to hide it though so she wouldn't think it was "cool" not to like me).



We drove on for a few more minutes and she said a few more people she liked.



Prompted by something she said (which I don't remember what it was) I added, "It makes me sad that you don't like me!"



She responded (seriously where she got this I don't know) "I do like you, just not much right now"!!!



Oh the precious words of kids!!! Oh man how I love my "little" Emily!!!!!
